I love this city. It is full of history and wonderful architecture, little back alleys, buskers, my Dad in his bright red jumper, and the most delicious cookies known to man.

Welcome to Alfred’s Tower. A lovely place for a walk.

and a picnic. Though it looks like it might be time to put the camera down and pay attention to my family.

M has been incredibly wonderful accompanying us to mostly adult focussed events over the past few days. Time to reward him with some child-friendly excitement.

but things started to improve in the mirror maze

and got even better with his new friend, George, in the ‘pirate zap zone’

and the day was complete with bubble gum flavoured ice-cream. Mmmmmm….

Time to say goodbye to Norfolk and head to Somerset – my beautiful home for the first 19 years of my life. Somerset is famous for its strong cider and King Arthur. Brilliant. I grew up surrounded by farms, flowers, cows, and mud. It was a wonderful place to spend my childhood.
Tyler and I even helped to deliver a lamb shortly before we were married. The owner gave him to us (we have the papers to prove it), we named him Tuba and he would come to us when we called.
As of this week, my parents home is on the market, so this is an even more special time to be here and to soak in the absolute loveliness.

beautiful
My lovely, beautiful friend, most favourite Sarah in all the world was married today. She looked stunning as she married the love of her life and she just glowed all day. The venue was gorgeous (Blickling Hall) and the sun shone down all day. We were very spoiled with cakes and a hog roast and dancing to a great jazz band. It was a wonderful wedding.
Her lovely American husband, Cas, is stealing her away to his homeland which means there is hope for us to live slightly closer eventually (PLEASE move to Seattle – that would be the best!)
Here are a couple of photos – slightly tricky to take many with small people in tow, but you’ll get the gist!
